Columbia Basin Badger Club Webinar: “State of the State’s Economy: Covid Impacts Present and Future” – September 17, 2020

Online Zoom Event
From 12 noon – 1 p.m.
Free to participate – must register for this Zoom session

The Covid-19 pandemic has dramatically impacted Washington’s economy and will influence its economic future in ways that are both obvious and unclear. What impacts have they already had on the ability to deliver critical programs? What are the impacts of federal funding both positively and negatively? As a former state senator, what impact will the pandemic and civil unrest have on the Washington state budget?

How does the state address these issues? What are the unintended consequences of these events? How will Washington’s businesses evolve as a consequence of the disruptions and unemployment?

Where are we today and where do you see the state’s business community being a year or two years from now?

– Dr. Lisa Brown, State of Washington Commerce Secretary and former Senate Majority Leader
– Kristopher Johnson, president and CEO, Association of Washington Business
