Tumbleweed Music Festival – Starts September 3, 2020

The pandemic has turned the entertainment world upside down. We all miss gathering together for concerts, coffeehouses, workshops, and of course, the Tumbleweed Music Festival in Howard Amon Park. So, what is the best way to experience the Tumbleweed Music Festival this year? Virtually, of course! In 2020, we’ve become “TMFVirtual2020!”

Highlights of this event:
– 60+ performances have been pre-recorded and may be viewed online for free – donations welcome!
– Workshops will be held online via Zoom on Saturday & Sunday with limited participation.
– The Saturday evening concert will be pre-recorded and viewable online – suggested donation $15
– The Contra Dance will be held on Sunday and also livestreamed – suggested donation $8
– The Shanty Sing on will also be held Sunday and also livestreamed.

Tri-Cities Water Follies Drive-in Air Show – September 4-6, 2020

Parking will be available at Wade Park in Pasco and Columbia Park in Kennewick
From 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. each day (Gates open at 9:30 a.m. – Show begins at 11:20 a.m.)
Daily pass: $50 per car for two adults
Add on adult pass $20, Add on child pass $10 (12-years and under) – Maximum of 3 add-on passes per vehicle

The daily air show will feature the United States Navy EA-18G Growler, United States Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II and F-35 Lightening II, as well as a few civilian aircraft. There will be oversized parking spots so people can bring chairs and food and hangout around their car. There are 300 spots in Pasco and 400 in Kennewick for cars to park. Columbia park will be blocked off unless you are there for the air show.

Health & Safety Guidelines –
We are extremely fortunate to have been approved for the Drive-In Show! Please partner with us to make this a success by following the rules:
– No more than 5 immediate family members per vehicle.
– No recreation vehicles (RV). Types of RV’s include motorhomes, campervans, caravans (also known as travel trailers and camper trailers), fifth-wheel trailers, popup campers and truck campers.
– No pop-up canopies or tents.
– No barbecues
– No glass
– No Alcoholic beverages
– No pets allowed except those specifically trained to aid a person with a disability.
– Customer will stay with the vehicle they arrive in unless using the restroom.
– Customer will wear a cloth face covering over the nose and mouth when leaving the vehicle to use the restroom.
– Customers will be escorted off the premises if they refuse to follow the safety guidelines.

Tri-Cities Carpool Cinema – Starts August 21, 2020

Get Your Tickets to the First Ever Tri-Cities Carpool Cinema!!!

The recreation departments of Richland, Pasco and Kennewick are excited to announce the first ever Tri-Cities Carpool Cinemas, presented by Windermere Group One and Numerica Credit Union.

Bring your family to an old-fashioned drive-in movie and experience movies on an 11’ by 19’ LED board and audio sent directly to your vehicle via a radio transmitter. Each showing is $15 per carload and includes a large bag of pre-packaged popcorn. Carloads (no RV’s or trailers) must be of the same household and are encouraged to bring additional drinks and snacks. Restrooms will be available but at a limited capacity. Must pre-purchase tickets online. This type of event has been approved by the Governor’s office and Benton Franklin Health Department.
