The Father-Daughter Ball is an annual outreach ministry of Calvary Chapel Tri-Cities. The cultivation of a positive, encouraging and engaging father-daughter relationship is critical in the developing of a young women’s self-esteem. Without this relationship, she will look for this “validation” elsewhere (usually in the midst of the most undesirable individuals and locations). By creating a safe, fun, interactive evening in which both father and daughter can create unforgettable memories, the foundation is laid and built upon, and the path to her sense of worth and value is established.

Virtual online via Zoom
From 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

What do we really know about homelessness in our community? It’s easy to look around and say “Well, it’s not as bad as Seattle.” Or Spokane. Or Olympia.

Or is it?

The Badger Club’s Special Forum: Addressing Homelessness on Thursday, February 23, will ask that question and many more of a panel of experts, including former Tri-City Herald Publisher Rufus Friday, who is now Executive Director of a large homeless shelter in Lexington, Kentucky. We will also hear from Chris Patterson, the former HUD administrator who now heads Spokane’s effort to provide services and facilities for those who are homeless.

There will be presentations by Dr. Patrick Jones who heads the Eastern Washington University team that produces the website Benton-franklintrends.org. United Way President LoAnn Ayers will bring her insight to the discussion. There will be opportunities to hear from you, as well.
